June is microchip month!
Microchips are a permanent form of identification for your pet. It is a small sterile chip (the size of a grain of rice) that is inserted under skin usually between the shoulders blades. This chip stores a unique identification number that is registered to the pets owner. When a pet is found, a microchip reader is used to detect the pets identification number. The number is then looked up in a registration database and the pets owner information can be retrieved. From there, we can contact the owner and return the pet back to the family 💕

BREAKING NEWS ⚠️ Our Tonovet has arrived!

With our brand new ocular tonometer we are able to take eye pressures with ease since there is no need for local anesthesia. This tool will help us diagnose glaucoma (high eye pressures) and uveitis (inflammation in the eye) quickly and accurately.

Daisy did so well having her eye pressures taken. What a good girl!

Today is a day were we thank all those who are involved in the rescue, adoption, love and care for all our in need canine friends large and small. Thank you to the wonderful humans who are involved in the rescue process along with all the humans who open their homes and hearts to the endless amazing dogs needing a second (or first) chance at a forever home ❤️❤️❤️

Happy Polydactyl Day! We love our polydactyl patients with all those extra TOES! Did you know that polydactyly is caused by a genetic mutation of a dominant gene that can result in up to 7 toes on one paw! There have been reports of some cats having 9 toes on one paw...that's a lot of claws to trim! Tell us how many toes your kitty has on one paw 🐾
