Have you found a tick on your pet??

Did you know that you can take a picture of that tick to find out more information about it?

The more we know about ticks in Saskatchewan, the better we are all!! Information about the types of ticks we have and areas where they are located, can help us to discover diseases passed through those ticks, populated areas, and all of this helps with disease prevention!! To keep you & your pet healthier!

Here are the easy steps:
1. Download the Etick app or go to etick.ca
2. You can either set up an account for yourself or sign in as a guest. If you sign up for an account, you will able to find out more information on ticks you have sent in.
3. Follow the questions and upload a picture of the tick you have found.
4. Keep the tick for 10 days. This is helpful in case they need another picture or if they have any other questions.

This app also contains a lot of great information, including maps of ticks found in your area!

This contribution to the electronic surveillance platform for ticks in Canada is a great way to for us to get more information!

Rheanna is our Veterinary Assistant and she has been with Cumberland for more than 5 years!
She is incredibly helping with the animals, assisting in the back, and she is a bright and cheery presence in the reception area!

Cassie is a staple in our front office! She has been with us since July, and we are so grateful for all of her hard work & dedication!
Cassie has a degree in Animal Bioscience program from the U of S. Honey, our clinic meowanager, loves to cuddle up with Cassie and sit on the back of her chair!

If you call Cumberland or pop by with your pet, you have probably been greeted by Kaitlyn’s smiling face!!

Kaitlyn has been with us since May, and we feel so lucky to have her on our front line! She is a part-time student, and a full- time receptionist for us!! She also has two adorable dogs!!
