Our outpatient X-ray room! 🩻 Since moving to O’Connor, we’re now able to take radiographs on site! If indicated, your pet can have their ultrasound and X-rays done in the same visit, where your referring vet will receive both reports within 24-48 hours.

Your pet is never on their own! One of our nurses stays with every patient the whole way through. From the moment they're admitted, all the way up until they're discharged. ❤️ Heart rate, breathing, gum colour and their overall wellbeing is all checked before we start, and monitored the whole time we're scanning.

Little Ollie showing off his new holter monitor! Ollie came to us to have a 24 hour ECG holter applied, to monitor for ectopy and to evaluate his average heart rate at home!🫀 He was a very good boy and went home with a groovy watermelon jacket to keep his leads and monitor secure! 🤩

A closer look at our amazing ultrasound machines! We have the Mindray Vetus 9 and the GE LogiQ Fortis. With various different transducers for abdominal and echocardiography, these machines provide outstanding image quality and allow us to scan the smallest and largest of patients! 🐾

Referring vets; if there's a study you're not sure we can so, just ask! The answer is usually yes! 🤩

Your appointment starts at reception with the paperwork and the consent form. One of our nurses takes you through: with a few questions about what's been going on at home, a quick check of heart rate and breathing, and a look at the referral your vet sent us.

After that your pet comes through with us for the scan, and we'll message you once they're ready! 🐾

Sometimes it's about adapting to our patients!
Tori came to see us for an echocardiogram and was 57kg worth of sweetness 😍 Although she was a bit too big for the echo table, she was so patient and gentle during her ultrasound! ❤️

We can now perform ultrasound, ECG and X-ray all in the one visit, which makes a big difference for the cases that can't wait!

HAPPY VET NURSE DAY ❤️ A big thankyou to all of the PAUS nurses, from reception to out the back and in the scanning rooms. Some of our patients come to us quite unwell and we are so lucky to have nurses that pour love and care into each and every animal we see.
