🌸💐Anyone that needs an excuse for a towel refresh- we will take the old ones (beach and bath size)! We could also use some old blankets (not comforters- they unalive our washing machine!). I’m a little (a lot) guilty of oversharing with another non-profit that was in need and now our shelves are a bit too sparse. 😜 The techs yelled at me. It was a thing. Anyhow help me out! Don’t throw them away! Bring them to us!💗

❤️My most sincere thanks for the KINDNESS and COMMUNITY I saw yesterday. This little dog was on our schedule for the day - her person had been looking for help for her.
When Dr. Lerma said she needed surgery emergently, I immediately called the 3 appointments scheduled during that time to ask them if it were okay to move their appointment back an hour. Not one person hesitated - each and every person said- absolutely! For the remainder of the day, as I greeted people, everyone had the same question, “How did surgery go? How is the dog?”

❤️It went great! Dr. Lerma removed a 3.3lb splenic mass and then went back to seeing the scheduled appointments.

❤️He also walked the precious life that he saved right back to dad at the end of the day- tail wagging.
We are a small team. We have one doctor. We will grow. As we do, this won’t have to happen. Many hands and all. For now, it does and the response yesterday proves to me that it’s okay. It’ll work.

❤️Yesterday, I saw people that care about animals. I saw people cheer on saving a life. Yesterday, I saw COMMUNITY. Yesterday the clinic did exactly what I dreamed it would- it saved a life that would otherwise not have found help.

❤️I’m thankful beyond words for our amazing doctor, to the techs that jumped in and lended extra hands, and especially to the folks that met an admittedly annoying schedule change with only kindness and support.

I am thankful beyond words.❤️
