💕Robin from kookoomonkey, a small local business in Mt Pleasant stopped by with presents for us yesterday. Cue me crying (again). She had brought her pup to see us a few weeks back and I was probably wearing one of my normal sarcastic t’s, she then asked why we had no pens with our logo and who did our business cards…
Yours truly, on some cheap website at 3am (it shows). 🤷🏻♀️
Truth be told, I have 0 reservations about spending thousands to treat an injured animal but it freaking pains me to buy business cards (the adult in me knows we need them, the rescuer in me would rather spay something) and I was completely honest with her about that. Our marketing budget is 0 and will always be. We rely solely on our community to spread the word.
Robin apparently decided right then and there that she was personally going to fix all that so we looked like a proper clinic with swag. Yesterday she showed up with shirts and hoodies and said, “I love what you are doing here and I want to help.” 💕
💕I’ll keep screaming it from the rooftops- this is small business. They support your kids soccer teams, our schools, and your local nonprofits. As you head into the holiday shopping season- think carefully where you spend your hard earned dollars - small business is supporting the communities they work in 365 days a year. Please support them during the biggest shopping season.💕
