Friday Jan 24 UPDATE: We will have a delayed opening today and will open at 9am. ZEN DOG DAYCARE WILL STILL BE CLOSED TODAY.

Thurs Jan 23 UPDATE: Pet Vet is now open with a VERY LIMITED STAFF.

Zen Dog Daycare is CLOSED today and tomorrow.

We are closed today and enjoying watching our pets play in the snow! Be safe out there! We are posting some videos of staff dogs in the comments, feel free to add yours as well!

Edit: Zen Dog Daycare will be closed tomorrow. We are still unsure of the Pet Vets hours for tomorrow. We will update as we go.

NC UPDATE:
We have not forgotten about our friends and family to our north! With these colder temps and dwindling supplies, it is just as important now as it was a few months ago for us to help out in any way we can! Our friend Michelle with The Southern Cat has completed the steps to create her own 501c Stella's Southern Angels and will be making another trip up there with supplies on Dec 22. She is focusing primarily on animal supplies, preferably livestock supplies. Some examples of needed items are as follows.
-Livestock (horse,cow,goat,chicken etc) feed
-hay - not coastal. Preferably Timothy or alfalfa
-horse blankets/hoods
-water trough warmers
-Heat lamps
-propane tanks
-Buddy heaters
-Dog houses
-Stall shavings
-Tarps

We are still a drop off location and will get everything to Michelle before her next trip. If you are unable to donate items but would like to help, Stella's Southern Angels venmo is posted below. THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

TODAYS NEED LIST:

- Dog/cat/livestock food
- Live/Have A Heart traps to catch strays
- Tie downs/rachet straps/bungee
- Flea/tick prevention
- Fly Spray
- Tarps

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS DONATED SO FAR! It has been emotional seeing all of the love and support yall are sending north! We have been trying to document each day so we can show you what a difference everyone is making and we will continue to do so. That being said, this is far from over. We will be updating this page as we get word of what is needed. As our drivers get to different towns, the need will change. Even if it's just 1 thing you drop off, every little bit helps! Please keep checking back to see updated lists. Today's word is that these following items are in need:

- Dog/cat food
- Rubbermaid totes/containers (this helps disperse food to different homes/places)
- Dog crates (especially for large dogs)
- Soft cat/small dog carriers
- Flea/tick prevention (Frontline, Advantage/Advantix are some good ones)
- Fly spray for horses
- Tie downs/rachet straps/ bungee
- Horse electrolytes

We are also sharing the Venmo for The Southern Cat Spa. Michelle Jackson is the owner and it is her and husband organizing and making the trips so if you are unable to make a physical donation, you can donate that way. If you do that please make sure you put that it is for HURRICANE DONATION in the memo.

EDIT: We have gotten word that the shelters up there are in DEPSERATE need of fosters. If anyone is able to foster, we would be happy to provide you with contact information. Pics of some of the animals in need will be in the comments section.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for all of your donations! It is truly awe inspiring to see such such a willingness to help! We will be posting pictures and videos of all the donations soon. But first, we have received word that more than anything, our livestock friends (horses, cows, goats, chickens) are in dire need! More than anything at this point,

WE NEED LIVESTOCK FEED AND SUPPLIES.

If anyone can spare a bag of feed (low starch if possible), coastal or alfalfa hay, buckets or halters, horse blankets, or anything, it would be greatly appreciated!

WATER (does not have to be bottles, gallon jugs are fine too),CHAINSAWS, PROPANE TANKS, GAS CANS, PPE, BAR OIL,FLASHLIGHTS, BATTERIES, HEAVY BLANKETS AND SLEEPING BAGS ( a cold front will be moving in) are also specially requested.

Donations will be picked up today and tomorrow. Thank you for all of your support!❤️❤️❤️

TAKING DONATIONS FOR HURRICANE HELENE VICTIMS!
Our hearts go out to all affected by Hurricane Helene and we want you to know that we are now taking donations for all the victims - 2 legged and 4 legged alike. We have some people heading to the upstate to drop off much needed supplies next week. Some examples of needed supplies include: toiletries, clothing, medical supplies, non perishables, leashes, collars, dog and cat food, horse feed, bedding, towels, carriers/cages, etc. Please send donations in sealed/unopened condition. Any and all help is appreciated!
