Dear Clients, Colleagues, and Community,

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we, Drs. Kaaren Howe and Leilani Hotaling, announce the sale of Minnetonka Animal Hospital to Dr. Angie Jung, CVA, CVFT.

When Dr. Kaaren first began working at Minnetonka Animal Hospital in the spring of 1994, those early years helped shape a vision for what the clinic would one day become. In 1998, we first took ownership of the clinic, and never imagined the journey it would take us on. What began as a modest practice grew into something truly special— built on a foundation of excellence in companion animal care, and blending the best of both Eastern and Western medicine. Thanks to this commitment, for 27 years, we’ve proudly maintained our American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation - a distinction currently held by fewer than 15% of veterinary clinics in the United States.

For nearly 31 years, we’ve deeply woven into the fabric of this community. From mentoring veterinary students through our relationship with the University of Minnesota, to working with exotic animals, guiding Groveland Elementary School Tours through our clinic, and always striving to stay current on innovative treatments and best practices - we have loved every minute of it.

To our fellow small businesses, thank you for being part of our everyday life. Whether it was grabbing a quick bite at Lakewinds, Great Harvest or Mandarin Yang, to picking up supplies at Deakynes and quick repairs at Denmar, your support has meant more than you know.

To our family and friends - your’ve been with us through it all. While triumphs and trials were ours, your unwavering encouragement made the journey possible. We are endlessly grateful.

To our phenomenal staff, we are grateful to all of you over the years whose hard work and commitment has played an important role in the life of this practice.

And to our incredible clients - past and present - thank you for trusting us with your beloved family members. It has been the greatest honour of our careers. While we are stepping away, we are ecstatic to pass the torch to Dr. Angie Jung. Her compassion, talent, and dedication to integrative medicine make her the perfect person to carry on the legacy we’ve worked so hard to build. We are proud to see our life’s work remain a women, and family owned veterinary practice. We are also pleased to share that Dr. Julie Boero will remain part of the team, continuing to serve you and your pets with the same commitment and heart.

Thank you for 30+ extraordinary years. This may be the end of one chapter, but we’re excited to see what the future holds for the clinic we’ve loved so dearly.

Kaaren R Howe, DVM, MBA
Leilani C Hotaling, DVM, CVA, CVC
