We LOVE this! 🥹 Adding a furry friend to the family is a special occasion, and we’re absolutely here for dressing the part.

Cai showed up in a suit to adopt Waylon because he knew what a big moment it was… and honestly, we think every adoption deserves that kind of love and respect. We’ve got plenty of dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens right here at our shelter who are hoping for their own special moment, and someone who sees just how important they are! We're open today until 4pm, come find your special someone!!

Waylon had waited 95 days at a Texas shelter before his life changed. A boy named Cai walked in with his mom, supposedly “just to look,” but something clicked.

Cai asked about Waylon with a maturity that impressed the staff. Days later, he returned—not in casual clothes, but in a full suit, ready to bring his new friend home. When someone asked about his outfit, Cai smiled and said, “It’s a special occasion.”

Since then, the two have become inseparable, sharing naps, walks, and quiet moments that show just how special adoption can truly be.
