VMC Animal Blood Bank Canine and feline friends helping save the lives of your beloved pets, one unit of blood at a time! Vaccines as per AAHA recommendations included annually.

If your pet meets the following requirements please reach out! Canine Donors
1-8 years of age, never bred, weigh >50 pounds
Healthy (no diseases/medications, on heartworm, flea & tick preventative)
Friendly, easy to restrain, no aggression
Up to date on vaccinations
No prior transfusions
Able to donate every 2 months (6/year for a minimum of 2 years)

Feline Donors
1-8 years of age, never bred, we

Healthy (no diseases/medications, on heartworm, flea & tick preventative)
Friendly, easy to restrain, no aggression
Up to date on vaccinations
Indoor only
No prior transfusions
Able to donate every 2 months (6/year for a minimum of 2 years)

Donor Benefits:
Free annual Heartgard and Nexgard, free annual bloodwork and infectious disease testing. Blood products at no charge when needed in the future.

Meet Atticus — A blood donor cat with a heart as big as his appetite. Blood donation runs in the family, with his mother Karot, sister Suhylah, and uncle Oliver all proudly serving as feline blood donors alongside him. Together, they’re a life-saving crew with plenty of love to give both at the clinic and at home. When he’s not helping save fellow cats, Atticus can usually be found stretched out in his favorite recliner, soaking up the good life one nap at a time. A true connoisseur of treats, he firmly believes snacks should be unlimited and shared often. His favorite part of every day, though, is spending time with his two-year-old human brother, happily accepting cuddles, attention, and all the love that comes with being a beloved family cat.

Winnie is a friendly lab and recently did her first blood donation with us. We are thrilled to have her in our program.
