Shiloh traded shelter life for a cafรฉ adventure and had the best day!

This beautiful pup enjoyed a field trip to Central Cafe, where she got to explore their dog-friendly patio, soak up lots of new sights and smells, and even treat herself to a special dog snack. Experiences like these provide valuable enrichment, help build confidence, and give our dogs a chance to show off their wonderful personalities outside of the shelter environment.

When Shiloh arrived on June 11, 2025 alongside her companion, Savannah (who has since found her loving family โค๏ธ), she was barely hanging on. Emaciated, covered in sores, and weighing only 21 pounds, she had every reason to give up. ๐Ÿ˜ญYet through it all, her tail never stopped wagging, and her gentle spirit never stopped shining. Thanks to the lifesaving care of our amazing HSMC Veterinary Clinic team, Shiloh began the long road to recovery. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน She also bravely faced heartworm treatment, enduring the challenges with remarkable resilience. While she completed treatment a few months ago, she'll remain heartworm-positive until her next follow-up test.

We have a celebrity in the house! Meet Betty White. ๐Ÿค This beautiful one-year-old starlet may only weigh 4.4 pounds, but she's packed with personality, charm, and resilience. ๐Ÿค

Betty White arrived on 4/8 through our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program and was very sick and remained sick for a long time. This precious little girl had a very bad upper respiratory infection that caused excessive swelling of her conjunctiva. This is a thin, clear, mucous membrane that lines the inner surface of your eyelids and covers the white part of your eye (the sclera). Thanks to lots of TLC and medical care in our HSMC Veterinary Clinic, she's made incredible progress. With treatment, this has gone down significant in size. It may take a few more months to completely resolve. This may need treatment in the future if she gets another respiratory infection again.

Just like her famous namesake, Betty White has a heart of gold. ๐ŸคŽ She's sweet, gentle, and the kind of cat who quietly wins everyone over. Whether she's asking for affection or simply enjoying your company, she has a way of making people smile.

Penelope came to us through our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program on 2/19 and has been receiving wonderful care from our HSMC Veterinary Clinic. She was treated for a rodent ulcer (๐š ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐œ๐š๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐›๐ฒ ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ) and is doing well with treatment for her environmental allergies. This may be something sheโ€™ll manage long-term, and weโ€™re happy to walk her future family through everything she needs.

And honestly โ€ฆ itโ€™s part of her charm package โœจ Friendly, loving, and a professional sunbeam collector in Meow Manor. ๐ŸŒž Sheโ€™s cute. Sheโ€™s loving. Sheโ€™s one of a kind.

Wait ... what?! 5-month-old Dallace is still waiting?! This adorable toddler woke up this morning with a packed schedule: snackies, zoomies, power naps, and very ready to adopt her super fun family. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿงณ ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

Dallace arrived on April Foolโ€™s Day with her siblings Maverick, Goose, Zoey, Bo, and Ranger (ALL adopted now!) after being surrendered by their owner. Mama weighs about 22 pounds, dad is still an unidentified gentleman, but somebody in the family definitely passed down those runway-model LEGSSSS for days. ๐Ÿ˜‚ She now weighs a whopping 14 pounds.

If youโ€™re looking for a best friend with personality, puppy energy, and enough legs to reach next Friday, come meet baby Dallace! Sheโ€™s an absolute blast and would love to meet the whole family ... including any resident fur siblings for a tail-wagging meet and greet.

Cutie and her sister Bella Mae arrived on 4/3 as owner surrenders due to housing issues. They have committed exactly zero crimes, broken no rules, and are completely innocent victims of life's occasional "surprise plot twists." ๐Ÿ˜ข In fact, they're pretty much the definition of purrfection.

While they don't need to be adopted together, there are definitely benefits to the "gift with purchase" ๐Ÿ‘‰ double the love, double the snuggles, double the entertainment, and yes ... these ladies still happily share a litter box like the seasoned professionals they are.

โคโค And don't let those ages fool you! At 9 and 10, they're not old ... they're experienced. And here's the best part: cats can easily live into their 20s, which means these girls still have plenty of gas in the tank.

This 4-year-old sweetheart is ready to steal your heart. He came to us after his family had to move and couldnโ€™t take him along, and heโ€™s been navigating big life changes with a thoughtful, steady spirit. Rusty is a โ€œonce youโ€™re his person, youโ€™re his personโ€ kind of dog. He builds strong bonds with familiar people and shows his affection in the sweetest way ๐Ÿซถ often greeting trusted friends with a soft toy or towel proudly in his mouth.

He prefers a calmer, more structured environment and isnโ€™t looking for dog-to-dog interactions, but he still enjoys getting out into the world, going on field trips, and soaking up new experiences by your side. Rusty shines brightest with connection, routine, and someone who sees just how special he is. ๐Ÿš™๐Ÿ’จ
