Forget-Me-Not Inc. We had to close the rescue effective December 31, 2024. We are deeply saddened but it was unavoidable.

is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit organization. FMN focuses on saving animals that
are hard to place , are
abused and need rehabilitation,are in
medical distress or
owners surrenders in desperate need.

Over 4 yrs ago, FMN pulled a senior pup, Chase from Manatee county shelter. He has massive body lumps. Dr Ivan Ivanoff removed them and gave him a chance. Chase went to a loving foster home then was eventually adopted and loved to the end by Jodi Conroy .We thank everyone who helped Chase. He was a great dog.

Lilly came to us with little human interaction. She blossomed, found her family and recently passed away. The family moved out of state but stayed in touch. She went from being scared to being adored. We still love every dog that passed through our doors. Forever in our hearts.Rest in peace beautiful Lilly.

We no longer exist as a rescue but we still care about the pups that were with us.Here is Romeo after his vet visit and Chase ready for any changes in the weather. Both are loved seniors and are doing well.Chase came to us from Manatee County shelter. It's not clear where Romeo came to us many years ago as a puppy.

Twenty months ago we met 'Bama". A senior pup disgarded like trash on a road, who was rescued by a local family. We offered help with medical care. Bama lived a totally loved life from that moment on, but time was not on his side. He felt love, a belly with food and a safe home to call his own thanks to his family.Bama passed away from his many illnesses surrounded by family. Bama a Forget-Me-Not angel.

With heavy hearts we report the passing of a member of the Forget-Me-Not family. Maisy was a long time member at the rescue till Bret,another member was able to open his home and heart to her. She spent her days digging holes in his back yard and getting all the love she needed from Bret. She came from MCAW many years ago and ended up in the best possible, loving home. . Thank you Bret Ballenger.

We ,with Forget-Me-Not Inc. Sadly announce we are closing the rescue.The decision was not made lightly,but financial and getting enough volunteers have made it impossible to continue to fulfill our mission.All our dogs have been adopted or are in forever foster homes.Their needs will be met.The past 14 years have been filled with love, tears, and hard work that was done happily. To our supporters, Thank you.To our members we are very grateful for the time you gave us. To the dogs, cats,a turtle and even a bird that we cared for, you will always be in our hearts.Please continue to support rescues and help the voiceless because they need your help.
