As the days are cold, it’s tempting to spend more time indoors with your pet, but indoor days don’t have to mean boredom. A little enrichment goes a long way!

Quick ideas to improve your pet’s day:

🧩 Use a puzzle feeder, a licky mat or a treat ball

👃 Play a sniff game, where you hide treats around one room (start easy!)

🐾 Buy them a new toy or make one at home

🍫 Chocolate is a no-go (even small amounts it can be dangerous)

🌸 Watch the flowers, since lilies, tulips and daffodils can be toxic for pets

🕯️ Candles can be tempting to sniff/chew, so always supervise curious noses

🍽️ No fatty leftovers or bones; pet-safe snacks only

Drinking water is really important for cats, so encouraging their water intake is always beneficial, especially as they get older.

Here are a few tips:

🐈 Have several bowls spread around the house and made of different materials (there will be a preference!)

🐈 Place your bowls away from litter trays and food

🐈 Clean your bowls often (ideally once a day)

🐈 Try a water fountain if you have a cat that prefers running water

🐈 Offer wet food
