It’s Halloween, the season where there are plenty of sweets and chocolate around the house, but some of our favourite treats can be dangerous for our pets.

Keep these safely out of reach:

🍫 Chocolate

🍬 Sweets containing xylitol

🍇 Grapes and raisins

🗑️ Sweet wrappers and packaging, which can cause problems if swallowed

Keep Halloween treats for humans and give your pet something safe and suitable instead.

Pets can get bored too. 😺🐶

Boredom can show up as chewing, scratching, barking, over-grooming, attention-seeking, or sleeping more than usual.

The good news is enrichment does not have to be complicated. Snuffle mats, puzzle feeders, scent games, cardboard boxes, training practice, or short play sessions can all help.

Remember that mental stimulation is an important part of wellbeing, just like food, exercise, and rest.
