Happy even whilst sedated!
Bramble was so happy that even after having hips and elbows x-rayed and before being reversed from sedation the tail was still in full working order 😂

A note from the BVA:
There is an update to the Canine Health Schemes submission fees, which will take effect from 1 January 2026.
The updated fee structure can be viewed on our website here:
https://www.bva.co.uk/canine-health-schemes/submission-fees/
Please note the following payment arrangements:
If payment is received on or before 31 December 2025, the 2025 rate will apply.
Payments received from 1 January 2026 onwards will be charged at the 2026 rate.
Refunds will not be issued, therefore early payment is advised to secure the 2025 rate.
For your information, the final scoring session of 2025 will take place on 17 December 2025, and the first scoring session of 2026 will be held on 7 January 2026.

BVA CHS at LVS!
Michelle was at London Vet Show last week and got to finally meet Emily from Canine Health Schemes and catch up on all things hip and elbow scoring.
The stand was celebrating 60 years since launching the hip Dysplasia scheme and there was a quiz for vets and vet nurses attending to match hip X-rays to the dog breed.
A fun challenge!
An amazing conference meeting lots of amazing people and learning more about all things to do with lameness & musculoskeletal disease in dogs as part of the mandatory 35hrs of CPD learning required each year for vets.

We are very excited to be finally able to announce that after lots of preparation & work we are officially open for business from Thursday May 8th.
Our truly independent service providing hip and elbow scoring will be hosted by Beacon Vets in Garstang.
Michelle & Vicky are looking forward to continuing to offer an amazing, personal service to breeders and pet owners. We have worked together for 25 years to help breeders and dog owners understand and learn more about their dog’s health.
Our new website is now up and running.
