📣RVN Required📣

👀We are seeking a dynamic RVN to become a valued member of our team

We are a growing team and a proudly independent, award winning, practice. We are forward thinking, offering the best in veterinary care including laparoscopic spays, endoscopy, Z-Lig cruciate reconstructions plus much more.

We are delighted to announce that we have an additional vet joining us and now need an additional RVN to support our growing vet team.

It’s a fast paced, ‘never a dull moment’ type of place. We do a great mix of surgery and medicine with lots of in-house lab and investigation work. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile for our clients and their pets and providing outstanding care. As an independent practice we strive to keep our prices for clients as low as possible yet continue to provide outstanding care and invest in and offer the newest techniques and treatments.

We have a great clinical kit to work up and manage cases to the highest standard. Every anaesthetic is monitored with a multi-parameter monitor. We perform blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, in-house echo cardiograms, endoscopies and much more. We have digital XR and dental XR. Our nurses assist with our laparoscopic spays every day and we perform many ops inhouse including our modern Z-Lig cruciate repairs and other orthopaedic surgery. And not forgetting our nurse-led laser therapy. All our RVNs have a great mix of duties across each week including anaesthetics, workups, hospital admissions and nurse consults, using their skills to their full potential. We have our Vet in a Van service too which goes out with a vet and an RVN. We are a nurse training practice and have regular vet students. We expect all team members to be involved in teaching and support.

We are looking for a nurse who wants to work in a team where they feel valued and supported. We offer funded CPD, RCVS fees paid, funded staff social events, birthday gifts and annual leave on your birthday. We want a team player; at Longridge Vets everyone works as a team and open clinical conversation is the norm. Our new team member will need to be calm working under pressure, have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We all enjoy learning from each other every day, we are seeking a nurse who is keen to both learn and share skills and knowledge. Longridge Vets is a place where we all help each other no matter what the job title. Every staff member (including the Directors) happily assists with cleaning duties and admin for example.

You will follow the lead of Paul our Clinical Director and Becky, our Clinical Nursing Lead.

Our ideal candidate will be flexible in terms of shifts. Our nurses work their hours across 07:45/8:00-19:00 Monday to Friday. Saturdays (08:30-13:00) and Sundays (09:30-12:00) are on a rota system for additional renumeration at x1.5 usual hourly rate. Our full time nurses work 40 hours per week, mostly over 4 days. Part-time posts will always be considered.
We provide 6 weeks’ paid leave.
Starting salary from £30,500pa based on 40 hour week, dependent on experience and qualifications. Regular pay reviews and progressions are our norm from therein.
To apply, or for an informal chat, please contact Jill, Non-clinical Director 07886791074 [email protected]

Loose Dog!
There’s a grey dog running around Lower Lane/Highfield Drive area. Smaller than an average greyhound, larger than a whippet. Spooked. Two of us have tried to entice him/her but they’re on the run.
Anyone lost a grey dog? Equally, if anyone manages to catch him/her please bring him down to us and we will try to locate the owner. 😌

☀️☀️☀️It’s drying weather ☀️☀️☀️

Many dogs love nothing more than bouncing around with excitement watching washing blowing in the wind or watching their owner hanging out the washing.

Sadly each year we see dogs who eat all manner of washing…… 🧦🩲👙
So keep a close eye, and if you think they’ve eaten something call us sooner than later!

Happy sunny weekend all, hope you all get out and enjoy the weather ☀️☀️☀️
