The Warwick Endurance Club’s ride at Inglewood delivered a challenging weekend, with tough, dusty conditions that reflected the broader pressures facing local farmers and landowners - something clearly evident across the landscape.
Against that backdrop, the presentation ceremony carried real weight. It was an emotional and meaningful moment for many riders, including Karen Lee, who was awarded the coveted Radincon Vets Choice Award. No doubt she was proud of the way she navigated her horse, Romulus Markus, through the demanding 80km ride - just two weeks after completing an impressive 320km marathon.
Karen received her award from head vet Harry Wever, who no doubt appreciated the horsemanship on display.
Karen and Markus are also part of the elite Decade Team, with 11 years together and more than 5,000 competitive kilometres as a combination.
Karen is one of the originals of endurance riding, having started back in 1989, and has built an outstanding record with very few vet outs over that time.
Radincon is proud to recognise this level of horsemanship and skill - exactly what the Radincon Vets Choice Award was created to honour.
