Pittwater Animal Hospital Caring for pets and their families for the last 60 years! Pittwater's kind and caring staff of vets

Pittwater Animal Hospital is one of the most progressive veterinary practices in the country, yet we haven't forgotten traditional values. Just as we have been doing for more than 60 years, we try to learn as much as possible about our patients, their owners and the lives they share. This extra effort often helps us make more informed decisions about the most appropriate treatment in your specific case.

🚨🐾 It’s official — tick season has started on the Northern Beaches!

Little Star came in the other night weak and grunting… and it didn’t take Dr Jill long to find the culprit — a paralysis tick on her neck. 🌿🕷️

All dogs and cats treated for tick paralysis receive a full body clip to help us find every last tick. We think Star really rocks her new look — and the best news is she’s already home with her family tonight recovering nicely. 💚✨

Now’s the time to check your pet’s protection. At Pittwater Animal Hospital, we’re here to help keep your pets safe:

✨ Cats: Every cat coming in for a consult or vaccination over the next 3 months can have a FREE 3-month flea, tick & worm treatment (Felpreva) applied.

🐶 Dogs:
✔ Many of our small–medium dogs have switched to the super convenient long-acting tick injection (Quantum).
✔ Larger dogs are still loving the Bravecto Bundles for reliable protection.

💚 Whatever you spend on tick prevention is worth it compared to the stress, anguish, and high cost of treating tick paralysis.

✅ Stay safe. ✅ Stay protected. ✅ Keep your pets tick-free this season!

👶Exciting news from our veterinary family! Recently, Dr Natalia welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world - meet little Leo! 💙

Both mum and baby are doing wonderfully and we couldn’t be happier for them. Wishing Dr Natalia and her new bundle of joy all the love (and sleep) in the world!

Your Dog's Teeth Need Love Too!

We brush our teeth every day to keep them clean but most pets don’t get that luxury. Plaque and tarter can build up over time, leading to bad breath, painful gums, and serious dental disease. 😬

🛑 The result? Inflammation, infection and pain your pet can’t tell you about.

✅ The good news is that we can help!
This August/September 2025, we’re offering $115 off professional dental treatment under anaesthesia. We’ll assess, clean and treat your pet’s teeth, leaving them with a healthier, happier smile (and much better breath).

📞 Call us on 9913 7979 to book your best friend in for their dental treatment.
(Standard charges apply if other vet services are needed during their visit).

🐾 Meet Claire – Our newest Vet! We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Claire to the team! With years of experience in veterinary medicine and a deep passion for animal care, she’s already making a great impression.

Claire enjoys all aspects of general practice, from routine health checks to complex surgery, and has a special talent for making pets (and their people) feel at ease. She’ll be helping ensure a smooth transition while Dr. Natalia is on maternity leave, and we’re thrilled that Claire will be staying on long term as a core member of our team.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her enjoying a beach walk with her own furry companion Chip!

Today is World Veterinary Appreciation Day! Here’s to the veterinarians who show up every day to deal with everything from routine check-ups to full-blown emergencies — and somehow manage to keep calm through it all. Thanks for the hard work, steady hands, and all the behind-the-scenes care that keeps our animals healthy and their families happy! Dr Natalia is now on maternity leave but will be back next year ready to see her patients again.

🥐🥐🥐 We recently hosted our Biggest Morning Tea in support of Cancer Council — and it was a tremendous success! Some of our talented staff baked delicious cakes and cookies, which were enjoyed alongside free coffee and plenty of friendly conversation. We also had fantastic raffle ticket sales, all contributing to a great cause. We managed to raise $750 which will go towards life saving research, prevention and support programs for Cancer Council.

At Pittwater Animal Hospital we are privileged to be able to work with some wonderful rescue organisations, including Dachshund Rescue Australia. These guys work so hard to foster and rehome hundreds of dachshunds that are in need of a loving home. We are also very lucky to have received this amazing chocolate hamper from them! If you're thinking about adopting one of these lovely little dogs, head to www.dachshundrescue.com.au 🍫

Big birthday vibes at NEVS today!
Our fabulous emergency service had something to celebrate. Dr. Jill gave a short and heartfelt speech before cutting the cake with fellow directors Dr. Jen (from Mona Vale) and Dr. Jeff Lee.

There was a brief moment of cake chaos when no knife could be found—cue some creative improvisation! Eventually, the cake was conquered.

We’re so grateful to the amazing NEVS team who care for our community’s sick pets after hours. You’re absolute legends!

Thank you for always being there when we need you most.

Trusted for over 50 Years

Pittwater Animal Hospital is one of the most progressive veterinary practices in the country, yet we haven't forgotten traditional values. For more than 50 years we have tried to learn as much as possible about our patients, their owners and the lives they share. This extra effort often helps us make more informed decisions about the most appropriate treatment in your specific pet. We learn from you how you would best like to care for your animal.

Pittwater Animal Hospital is a household name on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We have cared for people for four generations of their families including numerous generations of their animals. People know we will give honest and caring advice about all their pets. (Not just cats and dogs, we see rabbits, snakes, birds, guinea pigs and more.)

The hospital has grown from a single vet practice in the 1960’s operating out of part of a house, to a six vet hospital open nearly every day of the year. Pittwater Animal Hospital has always been family owned, never a corporate business. Our staff live locally and are proud contributors in the community. The current owners Jill, Heidi and Eamon have all worked at Pittwater Animal Hospital for many years. (Between them over 50 years!)

At Pittwater Animal Hospital we value our reputation and the excellent goodwill we have with the community after so many years of service. We strive to stay up to date with current veterinary trends at the same time adjusting our treatment to what you feels is appropriate and what you can afford.
