Bravery Award Winner: Cleo! 🏆😺💙

​Cleo had a dental procedure recently and had a full-mouth X-ray, that showed a few unhealthy teeth that needed to come out. She’s already feeling much better now that those uncomfortable teeth are gone!
​She completely won over the team — giving lots of head-bunts and loving bum pats from everyone in the clinic!

Fresh eyes, brighter future! 🐱✨

This sweetheart, Toasty, underwent entropion surgery today to correct an inward-rolling eyelid that was causing irritation and discomfort. The procedure helps protect the eye, relieve pain, and improve long-term eye health. Recovery is going well, and we're looking forward to seeing Toasty back to enjoying life comfortably! 💙

This little cutie was in the loving care of our team yesterday before heading off to WIRES.

A kind member of the public brought in a mother ringtail possum after finding her on the ground, barely moving. Sadly, despite our best efforts, mum didn’t survive, however we were able to carefully checked her pouch and discovered two tiny joeys tucked safely inside. Thankfully, we were able to rescue both babies, and they have now been transferred into the experienced hands of WIRES carers, where they’ll receive the specialised care they need.

A huge thank you to the caring member of the public who stopped to help. By taking the time to bring mum in, they gave these two little ones a second chance at life. 💚🐾

A reminder for everyone: If you come across a deceased or injured marsupial, there may still be surviving joeys in the pouch. If it is safe to do so, please check the pouch or contact your local wildlife rescue organisation as soon as possible. Please don’t assume the babies haven’t survived—checking the pouch could save a life.

Every rescued joey is another chance for our precious native wildlife. 🦘💚
