WELCOME TO THE TEAM DR. KAYLIN!! 💚 Zwartkop Animal Clinic

Dr. Kaylin du Plessis graduated in 2019 with a BVSc in Veterinary Science, following her BSc in Animal Science. Born in the beautiful Free State, she grew up in Ficksburg before making Pretoria her home, where she now lives and practices.

Kaylin has a special interest in exotic animals and surgery, and she also finds great fulfilment in teaching and mentoring others. While dogs are her all-time favourite animals, she has a soft spot for the occasional exotic reptile or bird that manages to steal her heart.

Outside of her veterinary work, she enjoys cooking and spending time with friends—though with two energetic children, Daniel and Lichelle, those quiet moments are few and far between. Life with her husband, Stephan, and their little ones is full of laughter, love, and just the right amount of chaos.

Important information; When donating blankets for pet shelters, please consider the type of blanket that you can donate. 💚

To our amazing suppawters, thank you for all the blankets. May we kindly suggest that instead of getting the low budget blankets, to please get the stormy blankets from PEP which costs R80.00 instead. The reason being that the low budget blankets are very flimsy and tears apart the day we put them in our kennels. We often have to collect all the blanket fragments from the kennels because the dogs have ripped them into shreds. We also get worried that they are eating the said blankets which is very bad for them. We would rather prefer 10 stormy blankets, than 100 low budget blankets. We hope this makes sense. Dr. Theron has been an integral part of the Zwartkop Animal Clinic team, bringing compassion, dedication, and clinical excellence to every patient and client she encountered. Her calm presence, empathetic care, and unwavering professionalism have left a lasting impression on all of us.
