Saturdays: 8:00-12:00

We are not available on Sundays, after hours, or on Public Holidays.

The practice cares for dogs and cats. We are focused on providing patients with the highest quality care possible, with the patients best interests being our primary concern. The practice will be stocking the highest quality foods available in the country for your pets. Services offered:

One minute the house is quiet, and the next it's possessed by a Queen suddenly yowling like she is auditioning for a part in "Cats the Hormonal Remix."🐾Lots of squirming and crawling on the floor and bum shaking at the ceiling is happening.🐈 You try food, fresh water, change of cat litter and finally it dawns on you - Hoogland has a 10% discount on spays and castrations😍

✨🐾 Whisker Wonders! 🐾✨

Did you know your kitty’s whiskers are more than just a cute fashion statement? They’re actually one of their secret superpowers! 🐱💫

Here are some purr-fectly fascinating facts and infurmation about whiskers🧐:

1️⃣ Whiskers grow from roots in the skin just like normal hair – but they’re embedded 3 times deeper, and are much thicker and should never be cut!
2️⃣ They act like little antennas, sending vibrations to sensory cells at their roots.
3️⃣ Cats have 8–12 whiskers on each cheek, plus bonus whiskers above their eyes, on their chin, near the ears. They even have on the back of their front feet! 🐾
4️⃣ The number of facial (mystacial) whiskers is always even – usually 24 or more!
5️⃣ The whisker length matches the width of the cat’s body (fluffy coat included) so cats know if they can squeeze through tight spaces.
6️⃣ Since cats are farsighted, whiskers help them “see” what’s right under their noses. 👀
7️⃣ Cats actually prefer shallow bowls – deep bowls can cause “whisker stress” when their super-sensitive whiskers touch the sides repeatedly.
8️⃣ Believe it or not, scientists can study whiskers to find out how much of a cat’s protein comes from prey vs. commercial food! 🧪
