⚠️ Chocolate is Toxic to Pets – Keep Them Safe This Easter! 🍫🐾

Easter is a time of celebration—and with it comes an abundance of delicious chocolates in all shapes and sizes. While it's a treat for us, chocolate can be extremely dangerous—even fatal—for pets, especially dogs.

The harmful ingredient in chocolate is theobromine, which humans can easily metabolize. Unfortunately, pets process theobromine much more slowly, allowing it to build up to toxic levels in their systems.

While a small amount may only cause mild symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea, larger amounts can result in serious health complications, including:
📢Muscle tremors
📢Seizures
📢Irregular heartbeat
📢Internal bleeding
📢Heart attack

One of the first signs of theobromine poisoning is severe hyperactivity. If you suspect your pet has ingested chocolate, please contact your veterinarian immediately—prompt treatment can save lives.

Instead of sharing your chocolate treats, consider spoiling your pet with:
A tasty tin of pet-safe food
A healthy pet biscuit or fruits/ veggies
Or simply a fun walk in the park 🐶🌳

Please be sure to store chocolates and other sweets safely out of your pet’s reach.
