🐾 Meet Tink! 🐾

When Tink first came to us, she was dealing with recurring skin issues, GI upset, ear infections, eye discharge, and tear staining. Needless to say, this sweet girl was having a ruff time! 🐶💔

We started with environmental allergy testing, helped identify her triggers, worked on repairing her skin barrier, and put her on a probiotic rotation to support her gut health and immune system. 🌿✨

But we didn't stop there! A stool microbiome test revealed that Tink has moderate to severe dysbiosis—an imbalance of the good and bad bacteria in the gut. Since the gut plays a huge role in overall health, this could be contributing to many of the symptoms she was experiencing.

The next step? F***l microbiota transplant (FMT) therapy! 💩➡️✨ Tink will be coming in soon to help restore a healthier gut microbiome and get her feeling her best.

And let's give a huge shoutout to Tink's mom for being the BEST dog mom ever! 💙 Her dedication to finding answers for her girl has been amazing.

Meet Cody 💛🐾
Cody is a senior Yorkshire Terrier who came to us after his mom noticed he was crying out in the middle of the night and intermittently struggling to bear weight on his hind legs. For an older dog like Cody, even small changes in mobility can significantly impact comfort, sleep, and overall quality of life.

His mom was understandably cautious about long-term systemic medications given Cody’s fluctuating appetite and sensitivity to side effects. On top of that, strict rest and heavier medication protocols simply weren’t realistic for him and his lifestyle. She also wanted to keep his care as low-stress as possible.

That’s where acupuncture and laser therapy became such an important part of his treatment plan!

Acupuncture was chosen to help support Cody’s comfort in a gentle, drug-sparing way helping reduce pain, improve circulation, and support joint function without adding extra strain on his body. For senior pets like Cody, this type of therapy can be especially beneficial because it focuses on whole-body balance and long-term comfort rather than simply masking symptoms.

And the results have been incredible.

After just his first acupuncture session, and with consistent weekly treatments since, Cody has made tremendous progress. No more nighttime crying out in pain. His mobility has improved significantly. He’s back to following his mom around, getting his zoomies in like he used to, and moving with much more confidence and ease 🐾✨

Even better he genuinely enjoys his visits pain free! When Cody and his mom come in, he just runs directly to his room. He knows where to go!
His mom couldn’t be happier with his progress, and we love seeing Cody walking in feeling better and leaving even better.

💛 Have you ever tried acupuncture or laser therapy for your pet? Drop a comment below we’d love to hear your experience or answer any questions!

Enjoy this sweet moment of the two of them 🐾

Feline dental health matters just as much as it does in dogs and unfortunately, cats are incredibly good at hiding discomfort. 🐱🦷

Many cats with painful dental disease continue eating, acting normal, and quietly living with chronic pain because they naturally mask signs of illness. By the time obvious symptoms appear, significant disease is often already present.

This sweet kitty recently underwent a dental procedure and needed multiple extractions due to advanced dental disease. The good news? Once those painful teeth were removed, he recovered beautifully and was already eager to eat the very same day. 💛

Dental disease doesn’t just affect the mouth it can impact comfort, appetite, grooming habits, and overall quality of life.

Some subtle signs to watch for:
• Bad breath
• Decreased grooming
• Dropping food while eating
• Preference for softer food
• Pawing at the mouth
• Hiding or becoming quieter than usual

Routine dental care can make a huge difference in helping our feline friends live happier, more comfortable lives. ✨

What if the missing piece to your pet’s health wasn’t another medication… but finally looking deeper? 🧩✨

When Ava first came to us, her mom felt like she had tried everything. Multiple diagnostics had been done elsewhere, yet nobody could give her clear answers as to why Ava was struggling every single day.

Ava would vomit daily, eat grass frequently, have inconsistent stool quality, and every day seemed to be a struggle for her. She was lethargic, lacked her normal spark, and sometimes wouldn’t even eat until 5 PM. Her mom was incredibly worried and knew something still wasn’t right. 💔

Many people are told that grass eating is “normal,” but constant grass eating paired with vomiting is often the body trying to tell us something is off internally. 🚩

Instead of masking symptoms, we focused on getting to the why.

Through advanced GI Microbiome Dysbiosis Index testing along with vitamin and mineral testing, we were able to start connecting the dots and uncover areas where Ava’s body needed support.

Now, with a targeted plan including oral B12 supplementation and a personalized probiotic rotation, Ava’s mom says she is “over the moon” with her progress. In less than a year, Ava has returned to her happy, playful, sassy self again. 💚

Stories like Ava’s are why we believe integrative medicine matters. Sometimes the answers are there we just have to know where to look.

Has your pet ever had symptoms that made you feel like you still weren’t getting the full picture? Drop a 🐾 or share your story below. We’d love to hear from you we're better yet give us a call to make an appointment with Dr. Steers!

Meet Oliver the Pitbull 💙🐾
Definitely one of our silliest patients and absolutely convinced every visit should include Cheerios. 😂

About 2 years ago, Oliver was hospitalized with a very severe case of pancreatitis. At the time, he was incredibly uncomfortable, struggling with GI issues, painful skin flare ups, hives, redness, and significant hair loss. His recovery journey was not an easy one, but with dedicated hospitalization and medical management from Dr. Steers, Oliver pulled through.

For the next 6 months, his family worked tirelessly to help him recover while being extremely careful with every food and treat he received to avoid another pancreatitis flare up. Knock on wood — he hasn’t had one since. 🙌

Once his pancreatitis stabilized, the next battle was his allergies. We performed microbiome testing, rotated probiotics, and explored multiple treatment options. Unfortunately, traditional allergy medications and injections just weren’t the right fit for Oliver.

His parents never gave up. 💙
From medicated baths multiple times weekly, to skin barrier repair oils, strict medical management, and staying committed to his ozone therapy regimen — they put in the work every single day. Because Oliver is SUCH a wiggly boy, we opted for re**al ozone therapy instead of major autohemotherapy, and his progress has been incredible.

The before-and-after photos truly speak for themselves. ✨
Oliver’s story is a reminder that chronic skin and GI conditions often require patience, consistency, and a treatment plan tailored specifically to Oliver. This progress would not have been possible without Dr Steers integrated care combining traditional medicine, nutritional management, microbiome support, topical therapy, and ozone therapy working together. 💙

Now he’s back to being the goofy, snack-demanding, happy boy we all know and love. 🐶🥣
