During routine maintenance, the coffin joint fluid spontaneously shot out as far as the wet line on the ground. Excess inflammatory cells can cause a joint to over produce low viscosity (think less cushion for the joint) fluid. After the abnormal fluid drained, the joint was treated with an anti inflammatory mix. Preventative maintenance can keep your athlete performing at their best!

Having bit problems? Trouble eating/dropping feed? It may be a fractured or rotten tooth. Tooth removal is more common than you think! Removing a problematic tooth can provide instant pain relief 😅

Below is an example of how a chiro adjustment helped a trainer figure out the horse needed a new saddle/saddle adjustment.

The back was tight through the caudal right thoracic back (under the saddle). Two points of the topline (T16 and L1) were shifted away from this tightness (to the left). The base of the tail was shifted towards the tightness (right). The pelvis was shifted slightly right.

After sharing this with the trainer, they realized the horse does sink the left hip and prefers right lead when heading left (occasionally).

With an adjustment to the saddle and a few more sessions with me, this horse should be on its way to finish the second half of the season better than the first!
