Palm Beach Equine Clinic was delighted to help Loggerhead Marinelife Center diagnose their patient Pennywise, a 302-pound loggerhead sea turtle, that was found with a damaged shell and struggling to survive. When she couldn’t fit in a regular CT machine, she was brought to PBEC, where she was able to be scanned perfectly with our Canon USA Aquilion LB Exceed CT scanner. The PBEC imaging team, led by Dr. Karen Beste, worked with the team from Loggerhead Marinelife Center to arrange Pennywise on a board, get her shell and body scanned, and set her on the road to recovery.
