A note from John and Tess of Get Rattled - Rattlesnake Avoidance Training for Dogs.
Competition has never really bothered us.
Honestly, we’ve always hoped for more quality trainers in this field because we know we can’t be everywhere at once. We only visit some areas once a year, and when people miss our classes, we genuinely WANT to have trusted trainers we can refer them to.
The problem is, not every method is something we can stand behind, and even more disappointing is when someone’s first instinct is not education, collaboration, or helping dogs..… but trying to tear another company down to steal business.
That mentality has never made sense to us.
Over the years, we’ve built this program through experience, relationships, and results.
We’ve trained multiple generations of dogs for some families. We’ve heard countless success stories after real-life encounters saving dogs, other animals and even people from snake bites.
Those stories mean more to us than social media numbers or talking points ever will.
If another trainer is doing solid, ethical, effective work, great!
There is absolutely room in this industry for more people helping keep dogs safe.
But professionalism matters.
If someone has concerns about another company, the right approach is conversation, observation, and learning, not rumors, insults, or underhanded sales tactics.
At the end of the day, we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done:
show up, work hard, train dogs safely, educate owners, and let the results speak for themselves.
Life is too short to spend it trying to tear down people who are out there trying to help.
