Our thoughts are with everyone being affected by these fires.
We have many family, friends and clients in the evacuation zones tonight, and others putting their lives on the line to keep everyone safe.

California clients!!

Remember how we were afraid we may have to pause our training in the state?

Thankfully it didn't come to that, but things ARE changing and if you value the service us and others provide we will need all the support we can get at this meeting.

Myself (Tess) & John will be present, we invite you to be there as well if you can.

The California Fish and Game Commission will discuss regulations on commercial use and possession of native rattlesnakes at its August 12-13 meeting. This would include rattlesnake-avoidance training for dogs, which is a popular course, as well as all other businesses and possession.

Meeting location: California Natural Resources Headquarters Building, 715 P Street, Second Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814. Virtual attendance should be available via Zoom (details will be provided later, once the meeting agenda is posted).

We are preparing to head to Idaho for a week, giveaway ends when we get back home 🐾

I recently learned that a pointer we trained, pointed a snake in the field and so was considered by their owner as a training fail?? 😵‍💫

We cannot predict how avoidance training will be translated as we have heard so many different stories and dogs are as individual as we are.

To us, it is another success story, but to them it is evidently a failure. We're not sure how to tackle this one but just note that pointing breeds may point snakes following this training 🤷‍♀️
