Fun fact: Pomeranians are tiny cousins of old Spitz sled dogs—they used to weigh 20–30 lbs before royalty (hello, Queen Victoria) made the mini Pom famous.
Coat magic: That fluffy look is a double coat that “blows” seasonally—hello, floof!

Why they’re unique to train: Big-dog brain in a pocket-size body. They love to “guard” with their voice, so we focus on QUIET, calm PLACE, and confident COME without hopping or lunging. Short, fun sessions keep them sharp.

Our toolkit is way bigger than a leash and an e-collar. Today we’re mixing it up—build a Place Maze, try a silent Shadow Walk (hand signals only), hop across new surfaces, breeze past carts and doors like pros, play toy hide-and-seek with a sneaky recall, trace a figure-8 around posts, and finish with bench parkour before a pack-walk pattern where everyone takes a turn leading. Variety = brave brains and calm bodies!

Start easy: quiet corner, 6–10 ft space bubble

Add the 3 D’s one at a time: Distance → Duration → Distraction

Keep reps short; calm praise + clean release

3-Stop Loop: patio (PLACE), store aisle (HEEL), parking lot (COME on a long line)

Etiquette win: ask before greetings, neutral leash, end on a win. 🙌

• Fast, shallow pant + tense body → stress/heat—create space, cool down
• Mid-session reset: send to PLACE, slow your pace, add a calm break
• Hot day? Shade, water, early/late walks, and check the ground temp
