It's that time of year again. The pesky GNATS are back! Don't be alarmed if you see round, flat, red lesions on your dog's belly, these are most likely gnat bites. The good news is that they are not causing much harm at all and usually resolve in a few days time. If your dog is overly itchy or the lesions are raised, have discharge or are scaly, then we probably should see your dog for an exam. Otherwise, just keep an eye on the gnat bites and they will be gone before you know it!

A huge congratulations to 41 years of River Valley Veterinary Service 🍾🎉 The dynamic doctor duo - husband and wife Dr. Bruce Viren and Dr. Cynthia Sellin opened RVVS 41 years ago. We’re now up to 8 DVMs and a total of almost 50 staff members. It’s amazing to see all of our growth and changes throughout the years and all of the staff, clients, and patients that keep the practice going strong 🩵 Thanks to you all for making all of this possible!

Please join us in wishing our Practice Administrator Christina a very Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!! 🥳 Christina is a huge asset to River Valley Veterinary Service and started back in 2011! She’s had multiple roles starting as a CSR, to the Groom and Board Manager now to Practice Administrator! Christina enjoys tortilla chips and melted cheese, Giuseppe’s Restaurant in Burnsville, shopping at Target and putting together puzzles!! She owns a Motorcycle and if she could travel any place in the world she would love to go to Norway to snorkel with the orcas!! Lindsey enjoys reading, fishing, video games and hiking in her spare time. Her favorite TV show is New Girl and she loves the Harry Potter movies! If she could have one superpower it would be to teleport herself anywhere! I think Prague would be at the top of her list as that’s her dream vacation destination. ☺️

River Valley was started by husband and wife team, Dr. Bruce Viren and Dr. Cindy Sellin, in 1984. Together, with partner Dr. Laurie Miller, they continue to run the practice today.
