We had a great day at the Big Summer Blowout Show in Bloomington, IN yesterday! I got judges assist #1 done with the great LeAnn McKinney, a longtime friend and mentor who never fails to teach me something new!
Ty also did a great job showing our small entry of 3 hollands and 1 New Zealand that was going to its new home after the show! We are thrilled with how they did and we are so excited to send quality rabbits off with new owners!

Had a great day the Indiana State Fair yesterday! Congrats to all the winners, this is truly a spectacular event that we look forward to each year! We were happy with how our rabbits did given the heat and humidity we have had this summer! The highlight of the day was Trevor’s Keefer winning Best Of Breed in Hollands and our Broken Senior Doe, Tallie, was BOSV Broken! Already looking forward to next year’s fair!

Sad post time.. 💔

This past week we lost a matriarch and monumental part to my Holland Lop herd. When our friends from Michigan decided to move on the remainder of their herd, I gladly took a handful of animals to help boost my herd and rebuild after the barn fire. Corbin’s Mary Jane was going to turn 8 years old in November and was still producing until mid last year. I have a number of impactful and succesful offspring and descendants that have curated the herd I have today. Toby, Keefer, Bonnie, Fiona, Bebe, Sully, Titan, among many others have plays such pivotal roles in my herd all thanks to Mary Jane.

She might have just been a plain old black tort, but this girl had so much impact carrying Chocolate, REW, AND Dilute! Yes, her genotype was aaBbCcDdee, and she truly impacted every color program I have.

While she was one sassy gal, she was a heck of a mom and a very special rabbit that will forever hold a special place in my heart💗 🐰

Had such a fun day at the Calumet Rabbit Breeder’s Lisa Schmidt-Daugherty & Judy Schmidt Memorial Show! It was a special day honoring a dear friend of mine🩷 Lisa was a great mentor and even better person. She comes up very frequently in our rabbit conversations and the impact she’s had on me, youth, and truly every person around her. She was a one of a kind human and I’m thrilled to support a show honoring such an incrieble friend! It was great seeing the Schmidt family and Lee’s dedication speech noting the impact their family has had on 4-H in Indiana. Lisa and Judy are forever in our hearts 💕
