Hello all!
Just thought I would write a little introduction to this page and what we hope to do with it.
The Thayer Family Aviary is a hobbyist aviary run by me, Sabrina Thayer and my mother Lacie Thayer. We breed, handfeed, and tame a mix of English and American budgies. Currently we have upwards of 20 little birds, and multiple pairings.
My mother enjoys keeping stock of the genes of all our birds and strives to make birds that are naturally beautiful, hardy, and friendly.
I keep the kindergarden and make sure the young birds have socialization with other birds and people, learn "step up" and station training.
When we decide to rehome a bird, we price them based on their genetics, how much training and socialization they have, and their behavior.
When our birds reach their new homes, we always hope they'll make your life happier, fullier, and just a little bit noiser! 🦜💕
