Happy National Dog Day! I wanted to highlight my favorite dogs (most of which have been here for over a year) from the Humane Society of St. Joseph County. I’m gonna include their names and some fun facts about them under each of their pictures 🫶 A lot of these dogs have their adoption fees waived, so if any of them interest you, they could be yours for free!

This is Milo! This cute and silly guy is just over a year old. He can be quite anxious when meeting new people, so a few appointments may be needed to really get to know his spunky personality! Since he’s so young, he’s still got quite a bit of puppy energy, and unfortunately he can’t get all that out in a shelter environment. Because of this, he may be jumping and barking at the glass when coming to see him at the shelter. Don’t let this fool you, though, because once this sweet boy gets a chance to let his energy out, he really just wants to be next to you! Come check him out today!

Tybalt 💕 Tybalt is a really sweet boy. He’s just over a year and a half old. He absolutely loves cuddles. The poor baby is scared of the water, though. Tybalt is the definition of a sweet baby.

This is Bronco! Bronco is very sweet and very well mannered. He’s only about a year and a half, but already very well behaved! He does have some dry skin issues, but he doesn’t seem to mind :) He likes to play with the dogs through the fence but as always, a meet and greet is always preferred!

This handsome boy’s name is Kyoto. Kyoto is very, very shy. He’s nervous of his surroundings. Because of this, Kyoto would probably do best in a calmer household. That being said, he does love to play with dogs, and actually came in with a doggy sibling (who has since been adopted). He does warm up a bit, especially with treats involved, and will come up to give you a kiss or two. Poor dogs like Kyoto don’t deserve to be in a stressful environment like a shelter. Check him out!
