I had Hank Powell and his friends Roger and Todd out with me today. We did the mixed bag catching smallmouth, spots, channel, and blue catfish. The highlight and heartbreak of the day happened when Todd battled a big blue on 6 lb line using a threadfin shad. He battled the beast well over an hour. We finally got to see it, but it broke off when I was reaching for the net. That will be a story to tell of the big one that got away.

I had Dyson Massengill and his father with me on this cold front day. The north wind was brutal from start to finish, making it very difficult to get those cats dialed in. The guys hung in there and braved the elements all day. We made the most of it and had a great time despite the tough conditions.
