I'm not sure what's gotten into the wires, but lately more than half the calls we get at Play Dog Excellent are from spammers, grifters, and phishers. We can usually spot them, but their AI is getting better every day. We're concerned about voice-cloning scams, and just as much about missing calls from real people who want to ask about classes or let us know they're running late to pick up Trout and Flounder from daycare.

All this to ask a favor: when you call, please introduce yourself right away. Try to avoid long pauses at the beginning of the conversation, call from a quiet place if you can, and tell us your name and your dog's name up front.

Something like: "Hi, this is Jennifer with Buddy and Lucy. We just got a new puppy, Bella, and I wanted to see if there's room in the Head Start class."

For now, anyway, that makes it much easier for us to know we're talking to a real person. And please don't take it personally if we hesitate for a second or two - it's a brave new world trying to sort the humans from the robots.

Happy 4th of July everyone! We hope that everyone stays safe and has fun celebrating Independence Day!
Also, just a reminder we WILL be open today for boarding pick-up and drop-off from 6:00pm-6:30pm.
