Play Dog Excellent Play Dog Excellent dog daycare, boarding, and training for the best dogs in Chattanooga, TN. Welcome to Play Dog eXcellent (PDX).

We have been providing services for the best dogs in the Chattanooga area, including boarding, dog daycare, training, seminars, workshops, and performance events since 2004. Known locally as the old skating rink, our 20,000 square-foot facility is a brick building on top of a hill sitting on more than four acres. We are proud members of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the Red

Bank Council of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, and we are active in the Chattanooga Dog Agility Club. We attend educational seminars as often as possible, and train and compete in dog sports including Rally, Freestyle, Flyball, Obedience, Tracking, Agility, Lure Coursing, Scentwork, and Herding.

It's Trivia Tuesday! Which breed was the famous TV dog Rin Tin Tin?

Answer: German Shepherd Dog! He was born in Flirey, France, then was rescued from a World War I battlefield by an American soldier, Lee Duncan, who nicknamed him "Rinty". Duncan trained Rin Tin Tin and obtained silent film work for the dog.

Happy 4th of July everyone! We hope that everyone stays safe and has fun celebrating Independence Day!

Also, just a reminder we will be closed for daycare and classes today, but we WILL be open for boarding pick-up and drop-off from 6:00pm-6:30pm.

We will resume normal business hours tomorrow, Saturday, July 5th.
