Paw Palooza is right around the corner, happening Saturday, June 13th. This one-of-a-kind day is packed with fun for pet lovers and pet owners across Chattanooga and beyond.

This year’s Paw Palooza is more than a festival; it’s a full celebration of pets, community, and lifesaving support for the animals at MAC. Gather your friends, come solo, or bring your pet and join us for a day full of energy, connection, and friendly competition. Our Givebutter platform makes it easy to rally your friends, family, and clients to support your fundraising goals.

🏆 Top fundraising teams and individuals will be in the running for exciting prizes, and every dollar raised directly supports the animals in our care.

✨ New this year: MAC Best in Show + fun contest lineup!
Think your dog has what it takes? Enter and compete for titles like:

• Wiggliest Tail
• Best Rescue Story
• Best Spots
• Best Costume
• Fastest Eater Contest
• Musical Sit

To enter, participants can:
• Raise at least $20 through fundraising for MAC (select “Be A Fundraiser”)
• Or pay the $20 entry fee

Every participant helps support homeless pets at MAC, meaning every dog is a winner. But one standout pup will take the ultimate crown as MAC Best in Show, awarded to the dog whose owner raises the most funds.

These bombshells are still bringing main character energy… 💅🐾

But kitten and puppy season has stolen the spotlight, and our adult dogs are still waiting for their turn to couple up and catch a break from shelter life.

Fostering is life-saving in a very real way. 💛
Every foster home opens up critical space in the shelter, helping us take in the next animal who needs urgent care. It also lowers stress, gives dogs a chance to decompress outside the kennel, and helps their true personalities shine so we can better match them with adopters.

Even a single night or weekend foster can change everything for a dog still waiting for their moment.

Please consider fostering one of these adult babies and giving them that much-needed reset.

Work? Peggy doesn’t know her schedule; she’s too busy running straight up to you for love and pets! This sweetheart is all about attention, affection, and being the star of the show.

She may be named Peggy Schuyler, but this girl is done being the “And Peggy.” She’s ready for her main character moment. A total volunteer favorite, Peggy has stolen plenty of hearts already; now she just needs one to call her own.

She’s been waiting far too long for a home, but as our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is waived. That means you can take this incredible pup home for free, no throwing away your shot here.

With a constantly wagging tail and revolutionary levels of love to give, Peggy is ready to rewrite her story with you.

Thank you Chattanooga! We adopted out more than 100 animals this weekend!

Unfortunately, 50 more came in during the same time period. Through the remainder of the week, all large dogs (over 35lbs) will have their adoption fees waived!

THANK YOU to everyone who made May such a special adoption month.

In just four days at the end of the month, when we were caring for more than 600 animals, you showed up in a big way. We are so grateful.

We also have to celebrate a huge milestone: our longest-term resident, Odin, was adopted after more than 450 days in the shelter. Moments like that remind us why this work matters so much.

Because of you, so many animals slept in warm beds with loving families last night. That impact is real, and it’s incredible.

At the same time, our work isn’t done. We took in more than 50 new animals over the weekend, and we still have hundreds more waiting for their turn.

Let’s keep this momentum going, for every animal still counting on us. Adopt, foster, donate, volunteer. They need us now more than ever.

WOW. You all showed UP for the animals yesterday, and we cannot thank you enough❤️
A huge shoutout to our incredible staff, volunteers, and adopters who made it happen.

BUT, we still have hundreds of animals waiting for homes, and we need to keep this momentum going through the weekend! 🐾

We’re teaming up with Dr. Miller from Cornerstone Veterinary Services and Petco Love to bring no-cost pet care directly to Hamilton County residents.

📅 Saturday, May 30 | 1–4 PM

📍 MAC C.A.R.E.S. Center | 4001 Rossville Blvd, Chattanooga, TN

Services include:

✅ Free DHPP, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines
✅ Microchips
✅ Pet food & supplies available as needed
