During war time, animals were used by warring armies because of their unique ability to undertake tasks that were difficult or impossible for humans. Over challenging terrain, they carried messages and transported equipment, people and supplies. They also helped to find people and save lives. Unfortunately, many animals suffered and died as a result of the war.

Many heart shaped leaf imprints on the autumn pavement today at Te Kuru Wetlands reminded me to hold onto the little signs to carry you through.

Pippin is a cheeky, ginger kitten who needed the “cape” of shame this week. Superhero vibes?

Unfortunately, Pippin was caught being a naughty kitten, licking 👅 around his surgical site after surgery. Thankfully, he wasn’t bothered and happily chilled out on his warm, snuggly bed (on top of a heat pad), after a tasty lunch ♥️
