Georgina was called out to a heifer with a swollen jaw and a suspected abscess..

But after a bit of investigation (and a gag for safety!), she uncovered the real culprit… a milk liner stuck in her mouth!

Not quite what we expected to find, but we’re glad she’s feeling much better now 🔍🤞🏼

NEW: FREEZE BRANDING SERVICE 📢

We’re now offering freeze branding — a precise and permanent way to mark your cattle using chilled irons (cooled with dry ice and alcohol). This technique kills the pigment-producing cells in the hair, so it grows back white, creating a clear and lasting brand.

• £6.25 per cow
• There is no visit fee associated with this service.
• This is a flat rate per animal regardless of number of digit/brands.

☎️ Give us a call on 01373 451115 if you are interested or would like to know more.

James was called out to a cow with a uterine torsion this evening. With his help, she safely delivered a live dairy heifer calf—and by the time he left, mum was happily tending to her new arrival!

Great result ✨

Today we pause to remember Victory in Europe Day and honour those who gave so much during WWII. Farming played a vital role in the war effort – keeping the nation fed through hardship, rationing and uncertainty.

Just like then, agriculture remains at the heart of our resilience. We are proud to support the farmers and livestock who keep Britain going!

As we remember the past, we continue to stand beside those working the land today 🌾

Meet Charlotte, our new Farm Team Co-ordinator 👋🏼

Since leaving education Charlotte has spent many years working in the Equine industry, however she has always had a strong interest in farm animals.

Outside of work, Charlotte can be found lending a hand on the farm managed by her partner or spending time riding her horse.

We were thrilled to host Wyvern’s first Dairy Benchmarking & Efficiency meeting!

A big thank you to James Hanks from PAN Livestock Services for joining us and sharing his expertise on veterinary and livestock data.

There were plenty of thought-provoking graphs, great discussion, and valuable takeaways for our farmers. We’re looking forward to working together to drive improvements where they’re needed most!

Thanks also to MSD for the pizza, and to AHDB for their support.
