What are your frozen water trough hacks

We know there are a couple of tips out there but we’re interested to know what has worked for you?

Couple of options:
Floating ball
Floating a plastic bottle of salted water
Insulating your tanks - with straw and even foam mats.
Reducing capacity and flow - so the water constantly trickles in

It’s a frustrating problem to have, but a key one to solve for grazing livestock.

The University of Liverpool are asking farmers, or members of the farm team involved in managing hoof health to fill in a survey to help them develop new tools to support hoof health on farm. In exchange for fill in the survey, you will be entered into a prize draw to win either a 🎉£250 Mole Valley Farmers voucher, or a £150 food hamper!🎉 The survey only takes between 10-15 minutes to fill in. The results of this survey will inform the next raft of research to help farmers to improve hoof health.
