🚨🚨ANOTHER UPDATE ON OUR INJURED GIRL …and the two moms with ten pups!
As we mentioned in our first update, our injured girl is thriving with the vet. Her pelvis is broken but we are trying out the crate rest and possible FHO. She’s on pain meds and is eating and drinking okay. She has some wounds on her paws but those should heal up ok! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The mama with the ten pups is enjoying her frequent meals (and so are all the pups!). As we mentioned, the second mom had run away and we were unable to catch her.
We went back the next day to look and return a couple spay/returns ready to go home and while we didn’t find her again, we did find ELEVEN more dogs needing rescue that we brought into care.
But we couldn’t leave mama there knowing we’d brought her family in. So a volunteer went back again today. AND WE GOT HER 🎉🎉
12 hours. 840 kms. 23 animals later 🫣🫣
The foster is willing to reunite her and take on the two moms with ten pups - THANK YOU MEGHAN! ❤️❤️
This is the best case scenario in what started out as a worst case scenario phone call and we’re so grateful for all the support we’ve received and people who are keeping injured pup in their thoughts.

****we’ve had a couple women post about our rescue insinuating that we’ve lied about the situation, changed our story or we’re posting for attention. We’d like to address this because, while it’s ridiculous, it’s truly hurtful when we put everything we have into this little rescue. We would love for these stories to not be true, we’d love to never have to hear these things or go to a call terrified we’re going to see dead animals. We’d love to never post about an animal being abused again. Our team all work full time jobs outside of this and we don’t have the time or energy to make up anything. We post what we’re told from the owners of the animals and update if we learn anything more and/or get vet confirmations. We aim to be transparent, honest and ethical in the work we do and proudly work with rescues across Canada who have the same values. We keep proper authorities apprised of all situations where we know they can either create a file to investigate or intervene. This can’t happen in every case. To those trying to negatively portray what we (or any rescue) do, we encourage you to do better. Until that happens, we encourage you to take your teachers’ advice and zip it, lock it, put it in your pocket****
