Beautifully written and thank you for sharing this β€, I agree, many people do feel alone and struggle with the timing for planning a goodbye for their beloved pet - it's so hard to say goodbye but also the kindest way to honour them by providing a gentle and loving passing when they are suffering, have poor quality of life, untreatable pain or nature will cause an unkind or distressful passing. Evaluating quality of life surveys really help to assess your pet's home life and help with clues to understanding how they're feeling when they don't have words and only actions and symptoms to communicate with us.
The decision to euthanize a pet should be one that you always look back upon and know that the best decision was made and that you would make the same decision again in the same situation. So how do you know if it is time?
