Some animals are professional snugglers.
Some are lap experts.
Some lean against you.
Some curl up beside you. 🐶🐱💕

And some make it very clear that **personal space is simply not part of their vocabulary.** 😂

But those cuddles aren't just adorable.

Remember our sweet (and slightly dramatic) girl Daisy? Well, we have some PAWSOME news 🥰!

After needing surgery to repair her cruciate ligament, Daisy has been recovering like the absolute superstar she is, and we’re SO happy to say that she is doing great 🎉🐶!

But now comes the next chapter of her recovery…PHYSIO 😬!

Daisy has officially started her physio sessions, and let’s just say…she is not exactly leaving five star reviews 😂!

In Daisy’s opinion, walking around, doing exercises, and working on that leg is completely unnecessary when she could instead be lounging around, getting belly rubs, and supervising everyone from a comfy bed 💁‍♀️.

The reality is that recovery from a cruciate repair is a long process, and Daisy has quite a road ahead of her. It’s definitely an all hands on deck kind of recovery🐾💪! Between keeping her comfortable, making sure she follows her restrictions, helping her with her exercises, attending physio, and cheering her on through the days when she’d much rather stage a protest, it takes a whole team to help this girl get back on all four paws 🎉.

She may not be the biggest fan of her new workout routine, but she’s putting in the work, with plenty of bulldog attitude and dramatic sighing along the way, of course 😂!

Every little step, every exercise, and every bit of progress gets Daisy closer to being back to her happy, goofy self. And we couldn’t be proud of her 💙!

We rush through our days.
⏰ We check the clock.
📝 We make lists.
🏃 We hurry from one thing to the next.

And then an animal comes along and reminds us to **stop.** 🥹

🐶 Stop for the belly rub.
🐱 Stop for the purr.
🌳 Stop for the walk.
❤️ Stop for the sleepy head resting against your hand.
✨ Stop and enjoy the moment.

Animals have a wonderful way of reminding us that sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones.

☀️ A quiet afternoon.

🐕 A walk around the block.
💤 A nap in the sunshine.
🤗 A little companionship at the end of a long day.

🚨 URGENT PLEA FOR OUR SWEET GIRL BUTTERCUP 🚨

Buttercup is only 1 year old, but shelter life is taking a toll on this sweet girl 💔. She is struggling IMMENSELY the shelter environment.

Buttercup came to us from a free roaming environment, and we believe she likely had to compete, and possibly fight, for food 😔. Because of this, she has developed food aggression toward other animals 🐶🐱. This is something that needs to be taken seriously and managed appropriately, but it is also important to understand that food is the trigger, NOT other dogs themselves. She has also NEVER been aggressive with a person.

Outside of food, Buttercup does great with other dogs 🐾! She is a total sweetheart with her people, absolutely LOVES attention, and is eager to learn.

Buttercup isn't a “bad dog.” She is a young dog who has learned that food is something worth protecting. She needs someone who can understand where that behaviour may have come from, give her structure and patience, and show her that she doesn't have to fight for everything anymore 💙.

Right now, Buttercup needs a FUREVER HOME or a LONG TERM FOSTER 🏡! She needs someone willing to give her the time, consistency, and patience she needs to decompress and continue learning 😇. A home where she can safely be separated from other animals during meals and where her resource guarding can be appropriately managed would be ideal.

She has SO much potential. She is smart. She is loving. She is eager to learn. And underneath the stress of shelter life is a goofy, sweet young girl who deserves the chance to show someone just how wonderful she can be 🥺🐾!

📣 Buttercup needs out of the shelter. Whether you can offer her the rest of her life or a long term foster placement while she waits for her perfect match, we are hoping someone will see this girl for who she truly is.

Serious business? Not always! 😜

Sometimes we just need to make room for the goofy stuff. ❤️

🐶 The dog who carries a toy twice his size.
🐱 The cat who attacks an imaginary enemy.
💨 The zoomies that come out of absolutely nowhere.
🛏️ The ridiculous sleeping position.
😂 The face that makes absolutely no sense but somehow makes everyone laugh.

These silly moments are more than entertainment. They’re reminders that animals aren’t defined by the difficult circumstances that brought them to us.

They’re **funny.**
They’re **playful.**
They’re **curious.**

Today, we pause to remember the beloved animals who may no longer be by our sides, but will forever hold a special place in our hearts 🐾💙.

Animals are our best friends, our companions, our comfort on hard days, and a source of unconditional love. They fill our lives with laughter, memories, and our hearts with a love that never truly goes away.

🌈 Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, may they be running free, feeling young again, surrounded by sunshine, endless treats, and all the love they deserve.

I’m Teddy 🐻! I’m a 3 year old male cat with a whole lot of love to give, and I’m looking for a forever home where I can be the one and only furry friend 🐾.

I’m a super sweet boy who absolutely adores my humans 🫶. What I really want is a family I can call my own, a cozy place to relax, and people who will give me all the love and attention I deserve 🏠. I’m happiest when I can spend time with my favourite people, whether that means getting some affection, hanging out nearby, or simply enjoying the comfort of being part of a family 🥹.

I’m not looking to share my home with other animals, though. I would do best in a home where I can be the only pet and have all the attention to myself 🥰. Honestly, I think I’m more than enough cat for one household anyway 😉!

Having a home all to myself means I can settle in, feel comfortable, and really let my sweet personality shine ✨. I’m hoping to find someone who understands that I may not want to share my humans, but in return, I’ll give you plenty of affection and companionship 😊.

Hi, I’m Hershey, or Hershel Jones, if you’re feeling fancy 🧐! I’m an almost 2 year old Lab mix with a big personality, a whole lot of energy, and absolutely no shortage of love to give 😘.

I’ve been waiting for my forever home since April 11, 2026 😔, and while I’ve been patiently waiting for my person to find me, I’m really hoping that day comes soon 🥹. I have so much love and fun to share, and I’m ready to finally have a family of my very own 🏠.

I’m a pretty high energy boy who is always ready for my next adventure. Whether we’re going for a walk 🏃, playing outside ⚽, exploring somewhere new, or finding a way to keep myself busy, I’m happiest when I have something to do 😊. I’m looking for a family who can keep up with my energetic personality and give me plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to burn off some of that Lab energy 😉.

When it comes to people, I’m pretty much an expert 🥰. I haven’t met a single person I haven’t liked 😇! I’m friendly, social, and always excited to make a new two legged friend. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you like you’re the most exciting person in the world, I’m your guy 🥰.

I also enjoy the company of other dogs and get along with most canine friends 🐶. I’d love to have a doggy companion who can keep up with my playful energy, although a proper introduction would be important to make sure everyone is a good match 🐕.

Cats, on the other hand, are definitely not my cup of tea 🐱. I’m not a fan of feline friends, so I’m looking for a home without cats where I can be my happiest self 😊.

I may be full of energy, but I’m also full of personality, affection, and love 💙. I’m hoping someone will look past the fact that I’ve been waiting for a while and realize that I’m not just another dog in the shelter, I’m a goofy, loving, people loving boy who just wants someone to call his own 🥹🫶.
