It's never a good day when you learn that a client has passed away. RIP Kitty. In the end, you could barely see me, and pretty much not hear me, but you appreciated attention and your appetite was quite good when I came around to get you set up with more food. You will be missed.
This is a fact of life working in the pet industry, just like pet ownership. You will usually outlive your companions! But we move on and remember them, always.
Having said that, I should bring up the fact that if you are a current MeowCheck client and your furry friend crosses the rainbow bridge, and you choose to become a pet-free home, it's good to know that you and I already have that rapport. As MeowCheck becomes something more than just an in-home feline visiting service, you can still use the service as new plans become available. As mentioned earlier this summer, MeowCheck will become part of a formal home check service.
The benefit of a home check service is that your homeowners or renters insurance is kept intact in the event of property damage caused by flood (pipe failure), weather, appliance failure (fridge), or break-in attempts. This service will also rearrange your curtains as you wish, turn random lights on and off if you don't have that set up as a smart home feature, and check your mail (I have a number of clients receiving packages while they're away!).
So when that sad day comes, and I would never wish it on anyone, just know that we'll still be here to oversee the safety of your castle! (is this a hint as to what the name might be of the new service?!)
