DID YOU SEE A DELIBERATE HIT?

Intentionally harming turtles is an offence with fines of up to $25,000.00 or 1 year in jail.

Get the license plate and provide details to the OMNRF conservation officers by calling the TIPS line at 1-877-TIPS MNR (1-877-847-7667).

Deliberately harming turtles means that someone went out of their way to hit the turtle or alternately did not avoid the turtle when they had the means to safely do so.

Video, photos and other witnesses are always helpful but not necessary when reporting infractions.

Poaching turtles carries fines of up to $100,000.00. If you see suspicious activity call the authorities above.

This kitty was rescued from outside (feral) and was brought in to be examined and neutered. He was covered in matted fur, ticks and of course this massive abscess in his head. He’s going to be feeling so much better!

🐶 Part 2: Hair Removal from the Gums 🦷

During this dental procedure, we found hair embedded within inflamed gum tissue around several teeth. Hair can become trapped by saliva, debris, and overgrown gums, contributing to irritation and discomfort over time.

This is one of the many reasons a thorough dental procedure under anesthesia is so important—some problems are hidden where they can’t be seen during a routine exam. ❤️🐾

🐶 Dental Day for Sweet Girl! 🦷✨

This 9-year-old English Bulldog recently underwent a dental procedure to help improve her comfort and oral health. During her treatment, our veterinary team removed areas of gingival hyperplasia (overgrown gum tissue), extracted several diseased teeth, and addressed hair that had become impacted within her gums—a surprisingly common issue in some breeds with facial folds and heavy jowls.

Dental disease can be painful and often progresses silently, so regular oral exams and professional cleanings are an important part of keeping our pets healthy and comfortable.

She’s now on the road to recovery and feeling much better! ❤️
