Not every urinary case in cats follows the textbook.

A young male cat came to us at Dr. Vetamin with urinary discomfort. In most cases, male cats develop multiple tiny stones and become blocked early.

But this one was different.

Imaging revealed a single, large bladder stone — something we rarely see in male cats, as they usually obstruct before stones grow this big.

We performed a cystotomy and removed the stone intact. Recovery was smooth, and the relief was immediate.

💡 A good reminder: urinary signs in cats should never be ignored — early care makes all the difference.

🐶 Successful Salivary Mucocele Surgery After Traumatic Injury 🐶

This brave pup came to us after a traumatic stick injury to the mouth and neck area. The stick was promptly removed and the case was initially managed medically. However, as can sometimes happen with penetrating injuries, a salivary mucocele developed in the weeks following the incident.

Salivary mucoceles often require surgical treatment to fully resolve. This is a delicate and highly technical procedure, demanding an in-depth understanding of head and neck anatomy, including critical blood vessels and nerves, as well as an experienced surgeon and specialized surgical equipment.

We’re proud to say that at Dr. Vetamin, we have all of these in place. The surgery was successfully performed, and we’re happy to report that our friend is doing excellent ✨

At the 2-week post-surgery recheck, the issue had completely resolved, with no complications.
