The Cat Hospitals: Ottawa's only veterinary hospitals devoted exclusively to cats! At Merivale Cat Hospital, we exclusively see cats!

That means there are no barking dogs in the waiting room who can upset your cats! Our cat-only veterinary hospital is dedicated to the health and well-being of your feline family. Merivale Cat Hospital was founded by Dr. Doug Boeckh more than 25 years ago. Dr. Chermain Yui and Dr. Kelly Batten make up our team of cat-loving veterinarians. Our veterinary and technical team has experience treating a wide range of cat personalities, from the very nervous to the very grouchy. We are equipped with an in-house laboratory, X-ray machine, full anesthetic, surgical suite, and dental facilities. Ultrasonography and endoscopy can be arranged if needed. Plus we carry a range of specialty cat foods. After-hours emergencies and unexpected medical concerns happen, and it can be difficult to know what to do. Visit www.CatHospitals.net to learn more about local veterinary emergency hospitals. We partnered with VetWise to offer a free, 24-hour, after-hours phone triage service (647-695-5411). You can talk with a registered veterinary technician to help determine if your cat requires immediate care. WARNING: If you send us a photo of your cat or post a photo of your cat to our social media there is a risk that we may use your photo in a future post so the world can see how adorable and paw-some your cat is too!

It's getting cold outside, and we have an important question. Does your cat steal the blankets, or does your kitty share? Let us know in the comments!

THANK YOU for supporting Farley Month! We are still tallying our donations and don’t have our grand total yet, but so far, we can confirm that Merivale Cat Hospital fundraised $6,384 for The Farley Foundation! We will share our fundraiser total once all the numbers come in. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us. We know that times are tough financially for a lot of people right now. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference for a pet in need. We have the best clients, friends, family, and supporters. Thank you for being part of something that will make a difference in our community. We also want to give a big shout-out to our amazing team! This wouldn’t be possible without their incredible efforts, dedication, and compassion. We appreciate everyone who made Farley Month 2026 a success!

Stop the meowpocalypse! It’s Farley Month, a new dawn for cats in need. We are raising donations for The Farley Foundation because a frightening veterinary bill shouldn’t mean the end of a pet’s story. Like a classic horror movie, we want the human-animal bond to be memorable and enduring. Don’t just stand there like a zombie. DONATE TODAY! https://give.farleyfoundation.org/fundraisers/merivale-cat-hospitals-fundraiser
