Air travel can be a stressful experience for anyone, and this is often seen more significantly in pets than people.

At best, air travel is associated with a prolonged time in a carrier, strange sounds and smells, and a high stress level from those around them. At worst, air travel can be life-threatening if proper care is not taken.

Please be vigilant and take the necessary precautions to ensure your animals are comfortable and safe. Here are some guidelines: https://ow.ly/RLjK50WtiOx

As temperatures rise, please remember not to leave animals unattended in cars.

Every year, countless pets die from heat exhaustion because they are left in parked vehicles. A few minutes can cause serious harm even if the windows are cracked open, or if you're parked in the shade.

Happy Canada Day to all humans and animals across the country!

Fireworks can startle and disorient pets, livestock, and wildlife alike. Please stay cautious and remember to provide safe, quiet, and stress-free spaces for your animals. We suggest the following:
- Don't take pets to fireworks displays
- Ensure animals have a safe place to hide while inside
- Keep fireworks far from farms, kennels, zoos, wetlands, and woodlands
