Headed by three highly qualified veterinarians, Dr. Mark Bolton, Dr. Katrin Schmidt and Dr. Kate Hawkes. Since its inception, Simcoe Veterinary Hospital has undergone many changes, but the one thing that has remained the same is the high standard of care that its staff provides both to our clients and their beloved pets. Our full service facility is fully equipped to serve all of the veterinary needs of our clients, including physical examinations, vaccinations, in-house blood tests, digital x-ray, spay, neuter, orthopedic repairs, ultrasound, and dental services. We have two exam rooms, surgery, grooming room, on-site x-ray and pharmacy and the hospital features two treatment areas, one of which contains our dental x-ray machine and dental scaling unit. The reception area offers retail prescription diet sales and during the spring and summer months, we offer on-site canine obedience and agility classes. Simcoe Veterinary Hospital is accredited with the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association), a group of hospitals that adhere to the highest quality in veterinary standards and help to ensure the best possible care for your pet. We also work closely with Precious Paws Rescue to help find loving homes for animals in need. At Simcoe, we believe that animals are not just furry companions but are a part of the family and we strive to treat each and every one of patients as we would our own.

It’s RVT Month, and we’re handing the spotlight to the people who spend the most time with your pets. 💙

Next time you visit Simcoe Veterinary Hospital, ask our RVTs a question. How to brush a dog’s teeth, how to give a cat a pill, what a normal resting breathing rate looks like. They have answers, and they love sharing them.

This Thanksgiving, we're thankful for the trust you have placed in us, and for letting us be part of your pet's story.

We will be closed from Saturday, October 10 to Monday, October 12, and we reopen Tuesday, October 13 for regular business hours.

If your pet needs care while we're closed, our partners at Barrie Animal Hospital will be open all weekend, 12:00-10:00 pm. They know us well and are happy to help.

🍂 Long Weekend Hours — Simcoe Veterinary Hospital

Simcoe Veterinary Hospital will be closed for the Labour Day long weekend so our team can rest and recharge with their families, but your pets are never without care. Our partners at Barrie Animal Hospital are open and ready to help if something comes up — including urgent care with a live RVT on the line after hours. 🐾

We'll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday, September 8th.
Enjoy the long weekend, and rest easy knowing help is just a call away.
