Some pets leave paw prints that can never be filled. Others leave entire communities forever changed. 🤍

When Greshelle first came into our care in the fall of 2023, we quickly learned what a truly special soul she was. Rescued from Mexico, she found exactly what every dog deserves—a family who loved her without limits.

Len and Jane welcomed Greshelle with open arms and gave her the beautiful forever home she had always deserved. Watching the bond they shared was a privilege, and it was evident in every visit just how deeply she was cherished.

Over the past few years, Greshelle became part of the Heart with Wings family too. She greeted us with her sweet spirit, reminded us why this work matters, and left an imprint on each of our hearts. While saying goodbye was incredibly difficult, it was also a reflection of a life lived surrounded by unwavering love.

We were so touched by Len and Jane's kindness in bringing treats for our team while also honouring Greshelle with a beautiful memorial candle and keepsakes. Even in the midst of their own grief, they found a way to share love with those who walked this journey alongside them. ❤️

Greshelle, thank you for trusting us to be your second home. It has been one of the greatest honours of our lives to care for you. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and your memory will continue to live on within the walls of Heart with Wings.

To Len and Jane—thank you for allowing us to be part of Greshelle's journey. We will never forget her, or the incredible love you shared with her.

💙 A Bittersweet "See you later!" to Dr. Leah Parlow 💙

Today, we say goodbye to someone who has been such a special part of the Heart with Wings family.

Since joining us in 2023, Dr. Leah Parlow has cared for countless pets and their families with compassion, gentleness, and grace. She has brought comfort during life's most difficult moments, and her kindness has left a lasting impression on everyone who has had the privilege of knowing her.

While we're incredibly sad to see her go, we're also so excited for her as she begins a new chapter. Dr. Leah has purchased her very first home in Kingston, where she'll be returning to be closer to her family—a milestone we couldn't be happier to celebrate.

Dr. Leah, thank you for everything you've given to Heart with Wings. Your compassion, dedication, and friendship will be deeply missed, but we know you'll continue making a difference wherever your journey takes you.
