Please look out for George

Our beautiful patient George has been hit by a car near Nimbin Street, The Entrance. The accident has scared him and his run.

He is wearing a collar with ID tags and a phone number on it please call his mum straight away or bring him straight to the closest vet clinic.

His a very friendly dog but may be seriously injured.

⚙️This week we’re introducing 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, our 𝑩𝒊𝒐𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 and our 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 (𝑪𝑩𝑪) 𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆!

𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞
This incredible machine measures a wide range of values from no more than 2ml of your pet’s blood!
It checks:
🩸𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- helping us detect early organ disease
🩸𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬 - which can indicate nutritional health, inflammation, or certain illnesses
🩸𝐆𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐞 - which helps us diagnose and monitor diabetes
🩸𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐬- essential for hydration, nerve, and muscle function.

These results help us diagnose illness or monitor conditions such as diabetes or kidney disease, and ensure your pet is fit for anaesthesia!

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 (𝐂𝐁𝐂) 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞
While the biochemistry looks at organ health, the amazing CBC machine focuses on the blood cells themselves:
🩸𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬 - detecting anaemia or dehydration
🩸𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬 - indicating infection, inflammation, or immune conditions
🩸𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬- showing whether the blood can clot properly.
The CBC is vital in detecting infections, inflammation, blood loss, clotting disorders, and even some cancers.

Both machines give 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔, allowing our vets to make fast, informed decisions—whether your pet is unwell, here for a check-up, or preparing for surgery, so they get 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫, 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬-𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞.
