💛 R U OK? Day at NWVC 💛

Today we want to take a moment to acknowledge R U OK? Day and the importance of checking in on each other — especially in the veterinary industry, where the emotional toll of our work is very real.

At this week’s team meeting, we recognised the day in our own special way: writing our frustrations on sticky notes, covering ourselves in them, and then literally shaking them off while dancing to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”! 🕺💃 It was a fun, light-hearted way to let go of the little things that can weigh us down.

We were also incredibly spoilt — one of our gorgeous, thoughtful clients surprised us with a delicious cake 🎂, and our lovely Lynn baked beautiful R U OK? Day–themed cookies 🍪 (that tasted just as amazing as they looked!).

We feel so grateful to work in a clinic surrounded by such caring colleagues, thoughtful clients, and supportive friends. This job can be tough — emotionally and mentally — but moments like this remind us that we’re never alone, and that leaning on each other makes all the difference. 💛

Today was extra special — Hugo and Pluto (two polar opposites) met for the very first time 🥰. No doubt Hugo was wondering who this long-legged new guy was, stepping into ‘his’ office!
