🔊 Attention all rabbit owners 🐰🐇

A wild rabbit control program is scheduled for the Greater Sydney Local Government Areas, including the Central Coast, in early March 2025 and will include the release of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV1-K5), a rabbit calicivirus K5 strain.

The RHDV1-K5 release date is: First week of March 2025.
This notification is to allow veterinarians time to inform clients of the need to vaccinate pet rabbits as all rabbits, including pet rabbits can be affected.

For best protection rabbits should be vaccinated prior to 1 March 2025.

A few weeks ago, Rosie came in to see us because she had been hit by a Motorbike. Dr James Moody assessed her and gave her some staples on a cut she sustained on her cheek, all without sedation.
At her follow up a appointment her wound had healed up and she was back to her happy spirits. You can see how well her wound and staples healed in the before and after photo. Well done Dr James and mum and dad for bringing her in straight away. 🤍🐾
