When our 4 legged friends visit us and suddenly spot the treat stash. Some may say these have been strategically placed…..?! 🤔

Whilst appointments are important, priorities are priorities! 😆 Their noses know exactly where to find the good stuff, and we’re pretty sure some visit us just for the snacks. 🐾❤️

So lovely seeing you today Bruno and Molly! Seems like .thegrey wasn’t giving in to the temptation though! 😆

📣 POV - You may have noticed the bird poo and feathers across our driveway and car park lately, thanks to the local Ibis (aka “bin chickens”) roosting in the gum tree overnight!

It’s officially breeding season and the males are busy gathering to compete for the attention of females. Each one claims a high branch as a display site, putting on noisy performances and defending their spot from rivals.

When a female arrives, courtship begins with bowing and a gift of a twig. If she accepts, the pair bond through preening before flying off together to build a nest elsewhere.

We’re hoping they find love quickly… and take the mess with them! 🙂

In the meantime, please bear with our team as we manage the daily clean-up - we’re aware the sight and smell isn’t pleasant, and we really appreciate your patience!

😊😊

✨ Please give a big congratulations to our newly appointed Nurse Manager Kristen and Lead clinical nurse Tessa! ✨

These two incredible vet nurses have shown unwavering dedication, leadership and compassion within our team, and we are proud to recognise them in their new roles.

As Nursing Manager, Kristen will oversee daily operations, clinic efficiency and help support our vet nursing team. While Tessa, in the role of Lead Clinical Nurse, will continue to provide exceptional clinical care and guidance across the hospital.

Their passion for patient care, commitment to our clients and support of their colleagues make them both incredibly deserving of these appointments.

Please join us in congratulating them both on this exciting next step in their veterinary nursing careers 💙

🐾 Did you know pets age much faster than humans? That means our furry friends enter their mature and senior years sooner than many realise. ❤️

That is why we recommend regular wellness checks every 6 months, to help us detect changes early, monitor ongoing conditions and keep your pets feeling their best for as long as possible.

Check out the age chart above to see where your pet sits in their life stage.

✨ Senior pets deserve a little extra TLC in their golden years! ✨

It’s Senior Pet focus at MVVH! 💛 Our pets may slow down as they age, but their love for us never does!

As our furry family members enter their senior years, their needs begin to change - and a little extra support can make a big difference to their comfort and quality of life.

So we are shining the spotlight on our golden oldies ✨

From senior nutrition and arthritis support to routine health checks and diagnostics, there are many ways we can help keep ageing pets feeling their best.

Keep an eye out for signs of ageing such as:
🐶 slowing down on walks
🐱 stiffness or difficulty jumping
💤 sleeping more than usual
🍽️ changes in appetite or weight
