INDONESIA - PART 2 THE BOIGA "CAT EYED SNAKE"
Back in Indonesia - The Boiga, commonly known as the cat-eyed snake, is a beautiful nocturnal snake found across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. It gets its name from its large eyes with vertical pupils, which help it hunt at night. These snakes are usually slender, agile climbers and are often found in trees, forests, gardens and sometimes around homes.
Most Boiga species are mildly venomous rear-fanged snakes, but they are generally not considered dangerous to humans. They play an important role in the ecosystem by controlling small animals such as lizards, frogs, birds and rodents. Like many snakes, they are best admired from a safe distance and left alone. A big thank you to and for teaching me about snakes.
