A little update on Alan and Milla 🌼

Our team have been so overwhelmed by the generosity of our community.
When we made a plea for urgent help, we received an unexpected and exceptional response from hundreds of kind followers, with the fundraiser generating over $21,000!!

Every cent of this donated money is used to provide veterinary care for our foster dogs.

The most urgent two cases were Alan, the 6 month old whippet with a broken radius and ulna, and Milla, the 8 month old poodle x shihtzu with suspected Legg Calve Perthes disease.

Thanks to the amazing team at Rochester Veterinary Practice - especially their super skilled surgeon Merryn and one of our dearest friends Claire - our precious duo are now able to walk again in comfort.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this happen.

🛑 FOSTER HOME NEEDED!

💛 Pedigree English Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Hank is a ridiculously handsome 5 year old fella looking for a place to lay his gorgeous head, temporarily or permanently.

Hank has been an indoor/outdoor dog, has used a dog-door in his previous home and was happy to sleep in the laundry.

His previous owner described him as having a beautiful nature, loving a morning walk and then snoozing in the sun for most of the day. His favourite toy is a plastic bucket. He loves to be around people, but is also content in his own company.

He has some basic training including: sit, stay, stop and bed.

Hank’s previous owners had to surrender Hank because they were moving overseas.

What Hank needs from you:
- Local to Geelong
- A solid love for good boy staffies
- You can have children, Hank has grown up with kids.
- No other pets would be ideal for now while he settles.

What we provide:
- Food, bedding & other supplies
- Vet care
- Guidance & training sessions

Perks of being a foster carer:
- You get the first option to adopt
- If you don't adopt you get short term staffy style love (The best kind!) while you help Hank on his journey to his new life.

🌈 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈

Today we remember all the dogs who have touched our lives, left paw prints on our hearts, and changed us for the better. 💛

We especially remember those who came before — the ones who paved the way for the dogs who followed in their paw prints. Their stories, their struggles and their love continue to inspire us to do better, save more and fight harder for those who still need us.

They may no longer walk beside us, but their paw prints will never fade. 🌈🐾

Prepare to wipe away some happy tears! 🥹

We absolutely LOVE getting updates on our animals, but it’s extra special when it’s a dog who we know has come such a long way from where their story began.

Skipbo was one of our hoarder rescues. He spent his life locked inside a house with more than 60 other dogs 🥺

He was malnourished, frightened and completely overwhelmed by the world around him.

Those big, soulful eyes and that sad face stole our hearts the moment we saw him.

The day we took him from the pound, he held onto our hands. It was almost as though he knew we were there to save him — and he just didn’t want to let go.

Fast forward one year, and we received this beautiful update from his family:

“I wanted to email you because we adopted Skipbo (we call him Skippy) a year ago. He has come a long way over the year and is living his best, spoiled life. He gets at least 2 walks a day, lots of visits to off-lead areas, play dates with other dogs, and cuddles on the couch.

Just wanted to let you know of this nice success story 😊”

Oh Skippy… our hearts 🥹💛

This is exactly what we dream of for every dog who comes through our doors.

That scared, lost soul who once knew nothing but confinement and fear is now a spoiled, loved and cherished boy with walks, adventures, doggy friends and, most importantly, a family who adores him.

We are so incredibly grateful to his family for giving Skippy the patience, love, care and endless snuggles he so richly deserves.

From 60 dogs in a house, to a life where he is someone’s whole world 🫶🏼

What a beautiful happily ever after.

Introducing Pirate, a charming little dynamo who is a delightful mix of loyalty, affection, and boundless energy. At just 9 weeks old and weighing a mighty 3.9kg, Pirate may be small, but his personality is impossible to overlook.

Pirate has already shown incredible confidence in navigating his surroundings, sharing his life with an assortment of dogs, cats, horses, goats, and loving humans of all ages. This fearless puppy doesn't quite understand the concept of self-preservation yet, so he'll need a family prepared to guide him safely with gentle and consistent training.

Every day is a new adventure for Pirate, characterized by a simple motto: "Eat, Sleep, Play!" He's happily crate-trained, sleeping soundly through the night, and adores snuggling up with a friend for daytime naps. Pirate's enthusiasm for life is infectious, as he plays tirelessly with canine pals, always game for a friendly wrestle regardless of the size difference.

While his toilet training is progressing well, Pirate's humans will need to stay on alert to help guide this young pup away from little accidents.

It's also worth mentioning that he does show some guarding his food from other dogs, a reflection of his start to life that may have left him hungry at times.

With his fearless confidence and social nature, Pirate sees the world as a playground brimming with potential friends. He's seeking a home full of love, patience, and engaging activities, ideally with another playful dog to frolic with. A family that offers consistent training to nurture his potential as a polite and well-behaved companion will provide an ideal foundation for this eager learner.

Caitlyn did a beautiful job transforming Milla from adorable scruff to adorable princess. 😍
